The goal of this platform is to allow the data exchange between different tools and environments, the engineering department designing the product-service, the manufacturing that is physically creating it and the ICT department that takes care of developing and maintaining the software related components and services. The platform major goals are to provide knowledge sharing and collaboration. In details the platform focuse towards to a flexible and usable access control mechanisms that would allow dynamic knowledge sharing across multiple stakeholders and asynchronous product-service life cycles. The platform should focus on OSLC – Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration.

Major actors interfacing with the OSLC interface are technical system willing to exchange data. They can be other PLM by OSLC services or external services ad discussed below. The PLM is the center of the company so the OSLC interface should be ready to exchange information about any other component. We expect that the interfaces can receive information mainly from the following way.


Product traceability from outside the company for example events gathered from end-users usage of the product-service in WP5 and/or gathered from WP6 (EDA-SOA architecture).

Availability of similar products of manufacturing services from other suppliers.

Production data and information (error) coming from the manufacturing field and managed by big data analytics.
