Semantic mediation

Within the OSLC overall operational approach for sharing formal information, we apply semantics thorough semantic mediation, a technology, which requires that RDF formal descriptions are associated with ontological tagging using OWL – the Web Ontology Language. With OWL, these RDF structures become semantically tagged and can be combined and exchanged in a more meaningful way by the participating components. The semantic mediation container (SMC) is provided by IBM for this purpose. SMC is both an OSLC repository of RDF structures, which are considered “models” since the significant use cases applied on OSLC has been manipulating MBSE (Model-Based System Engineering) tools data to be shared among these tools, and thus create a collaborative eco-system such that we also want to apply on this WP3 platform.
